Really red!
The flowering-period ranges from May to October. These quite long clusters of flower heads are well stocked with good sized flowers that are of a new deep velvet red, enhanced by the dark brown calix.
The glossy dark green, semi-evergreen foliage is aromatic.
These are easy garden plants, in well draining soil, but can also be grown in pots. The Sage varieties sold by SAPHO also offer a beautiful pallet of colours.

All types of soil, even dry, providing they are well draining especially in winter.
Care :
Spring pruning is essential, but only after the hard frosts are finished. Trim the plants back by half to 30 or 40 cm.Pick off wilted flowers, allowing a summer flowering of better quality.
